Genuine? Or just a sweet disguise? This costume party wreaks of subtle shit-faced lies. Tied, we’re tangled backyard snakes. Fangs and poison filled, don’t you dare mistake. Caught up in your garden bed, tried to close my eyes, but how could I forget? I can’t begin to fathom functioning in front of you. Hopeless words ensue. I hide inside your vents, to keep me warm from this never ending snow, but it’s time you let this go. Sinking through the roof and down into my room. These blinds help me to swoon and cigs kiss lips at noon. You take a long drag and then you throw me into the blazing wind; I’m nice and cozy. Just like the passing days we are disowning, how are we still best friends when you don’t know me? This ceiling fan is loud enough to pierce my ears, yet I’m still stuck. Layed to waste, in bed all day, with silent tears, till I turn gray. No more chances or missed advances. We’re second guessing ambulances.
